Now this is something that is really thinking outside the box! A fun series of short films, mixed with a level of interactivity that really pushes the boundaries transform an otherwise boring brand into something quite entertaining. Will you or will you not shoot the bear?

Rather than using the pencils as a medium to draw, he's created these miniscule masterpieces carved into the the ends of pencils. How he manages to get such fine detail in such a fragile and miniscule medium all without the aid of a magnifying glass is really beyond belief - It's no wonder that it took him 2 and a half years to just to finish the 26 letters of the alphabet!

Only slightly alterations to the the structural design of electrical pylons have been made, but look at the drastic transformation to the aesthetic of these traditionally ugly structures! Designed to dot the stark landscape in Iceland, we would love to visit and see these wonderful things up close! What a shame that they've only been designed as an entry into an architectural competition. Let's hope they make them in the not too distant future!

FWY Studios created this piece to reflect the “looking up” theme of the Very Fun Park 2010 exhibition “Field of Dreams”. By placing it halfway up the building, it forces the audience to look up and discover the true meaning of this message. Sydney’s cityscape could definitely use a splash of this inspiration!

Thousands of books have gone into his largest installation to date, a gigantic tunnel lit inside with multicoloured lights and mirrors used to confuse perspective. Installed in Bologna's Museum of Modern Art we can only image how mindblowing it would be to walk through this dizzying structure!

Well for one thing, we just love, love, love all of her work. In this day and age where so much is computer based, it is so nice to see such fine, beautiful and intricate work still done by hand. Working in the mediums of pencil, felt tip pen and watercolour, we're sure you'll appreciate her typography, pattern and illustrative work just as much as we do!!

Acclaimed Australian fashion designer, jewellry designer, stylist and creative director Michelle Jank has creative directed a series of short films for Scandinavian fashion label Acne Jeans. A beautiful way to present the collections for each season, the first was shot in the Barbican in London for the 2010 collection, whilst the second short film for the 2011 collection was shot over here in Sydney with an entirely Australian team. These films are so haunting and beautiful, we could watch them over and over again.

Believe it or not, the photos above have been taken with a single piece of photographic paper and a pinhole camera made out of an empty drink can. Left in position for months at a time, these long exposures track the path of the sun in the sky resulting in these beautiful and haunting images. The last image above took 6 months to complete, holding a new photography record for the longest exposure ever taken!

Well, visiting Venice during the Biennale and being surrounded by the very clever and eye catching branding. Being an art fair with an international flavour, the branding really has reflected this - pulling apart national flag designs and creating a unique graphic palette, this is truly one slick example of design. We can only wish we were there... sigh....
